Materials & finishes
We work in three materials, and finish the part to whatever the application needs.
Materials
Mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and copper, with coated sheet where the part is going somewhere that needs it.
- Mild steel. The workhorse, for everything from brackets to cabinets
- Stainless steel. Grades 304 and 316, where corrosion resistance or hygiene matters, such as catering and medical
- Aluminium. Light, for chassis, panels and heat management
- Copper. Cut and formed where conductivity or appearance calls for it
- Galvanised steel. Zinc coated for corrosion resistance, where a part is going outdoors or somewhere damp
- Zintec. Electro-zinc coated mild steel with a smooth surface that takes paint and powder coating well
Finishing as part of the job
We arrange finishing as part of the job. The part leaves here complete, with no second supplier for you to chase.
Sheet metal finishes
- Powder coating. Any RAL, durable and the most common choice
- Wet spray. Where powder is not suitable or the colour match has to be exact
- Plating. Galvanising, chroming and more
- Anodising. For aluminium, natural or coloured
- Screen printing. Legends, logos and panel markings
- Polishing and graining. Brushed and polished finishes on stainless and aluminium, where the surface is the finish
- Engraving. Permanent marking for panels, plates and identification
Where your part goes next
Work rarely stops at one process. Parts carry straight through under the same roof, so you deal with one supplier, one drawing and one delivery.
